Reviewed the complete claim, both ordinary implementation entries (parser.rs and validate.rs), and the sole ordinary test empty_envelopes_are_leaves_and_are_distinct_from_abstract_methods. Independently verified exact byte equality of both implementation files and envelopes.rs against the supplied historical snapshot; reassessed its rationale against current evidence. Parser::method represents abstract; as None and envelope {} as Some(empty). Static validation adds no dependency edges for empty effects; resolve_contracts marks only None abstract and adds no invokes or unchecked effects for an empty envelope. Inherited prohibitions constrain calls rather than introducing modeled dependencies. Thus a declared empty envelope is a leaf, distinct from an absent abstract envelope; this claim does not promise runtime evaluation. The test visibly asserts both AST representations, nonabstract leaf and abstract operation flags, and empty leaf invokes/prohibits/unchecked_effects. These assertions detect conflating None with Some(empty) or introducing dependencies. Captured parse/valid/class helpers establish real parser/validator setup, and captured ContractModel new/operations wrappers establish that the assertions inspect resolve_contracts output. All entries are ordinary, with no TODO/N/A prerequisites or deferred aspects. Source inspection supports completeness and adequacy. Executed review start, dependency reads, and byte-comparison commands; no behavior tests or build were run by this reviewer.
