meta.book.index_status

Implementation and test status are computed independently from their declared entries: ordinary entries display Implemented, todo entries display TODO, and not_applicable entries display N/A. Mixed statuses remain visible, including outstanding TODOs when another entry is implemented. An absent implementation or test entry is a validation error, not an implicit TODO or N/A. These labels describe declared coverage; recorded run results remain separate evidence.

Review: Accepted · final_quality.

Fresh followup review of meta.book.index_status. I preserved and compared the previous recorded input/output with the newly started review, recaptured the prior book Fixture helpers (tests/book.rs lines 1–174) and review design dependency, and compared every fragment by path/selector plus implementation/test metadata. The only changes are two association comments on AnchorPages::page for evidence_status/placeholder_status, one placeholder_status association comment in review inventory, and an unrelated four-line canonical_sources TODO prerequisite explanation in spec_plan.rs. No claim, behavior, associated test body, helper, or association metadata for this anchor changed; no fragments were removed. I reassessed those changes against the complete prior assessment rather than refreshing its verdict blindly.

All five implementation entries are accounted for: AnchorPages::states independently collects implementation site statuses from rust.implementations or test statuses from review inputs into a BTreeSet; placeholder_status classifies enclosing modules (excluding crate name, accepting raw identifiers and nesting, rejecting conflicting TODO/N/A nesting); inventory preserves implementation status and derives test status from its owner; validation adds separate missing implementation/test association errors; the spec_plan TODO region explicitly reserves incomplete mixed-status coverage. The exhaustive status_label maps Ordinary to Implemented, Todo to TODO, and NotApplicable to N/A. statuses emits every distinct status and counts counts each status independently, so an ordinary entry does not erase outstanding TODOs. Separate table columns call these paths independently. Missing entries render Missing or explicit validation-error prose rather than fabricated TODO/N/A. Recorded review outcomes are displayed separately; none of these classification paths uses execution results and the overview explicitly says associations/reviews do not record execution.

The complete associated test set contains one ordinary generated_anchor_pages_join_namespaces_claims_implementations_tests_and_reviews test and one TODO anchor_index_preserves_mixed_statuses test. I read both bodies and the fixture helpers. The ordinary test builds a real temporary workspace with ordinary and TODO evidence for meta.foo, N/A evidence for two other anchors, then preprocesses the book. Its assertions verify aggregate 1 Implemented/1 TODO/2 N/A counts, TODO and N/A badges, placeholder explanations, source excerpts, and separate Accepted/Changes requested/Unfinished review text. This supplies meaningful mixed-status and label evidence, but symmetric fixture statuses do not establish the full independent-column matrix or missing-entry validation cases. The TODO implementation/test explicitly retains these limitations. Its prerequisite is focused asymmetric implementation/test status fixtures, missing implementation/test/both cases, and checks that recorded run evidence cannot alter declared labels; it contains no behavioral assertions and remains deferred, not implemented or passing coverage. There are no N/A entries for this anchor.

The marker/comment-only delta does not change those conclusions or deferred scope. No source edits or test execution were performed in this followup; commands executed were review start/read and capture comparison, followed by this record. Central suite results were not substituted for source/test adequacy. No requested edits.
